SELF IMAGE : I love being over 50

Her Story:

Name: Dana M. Watson Carroll⠀
Born: Kansas City, MO (raised on the southside of Chicago)
Lives: Tampa, FL

I started my influencing journey in February of 2019 after an amicable divorce.

At first, I started taking pictures thinking it was about that until I realized it’s about serving a community that is hungry for information on how to navigate life in their 50’s through fashion, beauty, and fitness. And so I got serious and started to create content around that.

I am still finding my way but enjoying the journey. It’s interesting, when I was younger, I thought being 50 was the beginning of the end. I was so wrong, this 2nd half of life is where it all happens, and I am just getting started and can’t wait to share my journey.⠀

Being authentic is what I learned early on in this space. I think it is a matter of checking in with yourself daily and asking questions. It is so important to me to be in the moment and try not to be so hard on myself. I love it here and would do it for free all day every day because I get to be me unapologetically.

Do I care what people think about me? Sure, but up to a point.

It took me a long time to love the skin I’m in and I’m on a mission to teach women my age to re-identify beauty and redefine age their way.

I love being over 50, do I wish I would have discovered the peace of knowing I’ve finally come into myself earlier? Hell yes!

Cause if I knew then in my 20’s what I know now I would have been a hell-raiser.

But it’s what you do now that matters.
