I’m a queer, 1st gen Taiwanese Chinese in my 20’s. My pronouns are she/her & I live on Tongva land. Growing up, I suffered from violent nightmares, sleep talking, & sleepwalking. I’ve been suffering with suicidal ideation since the 4th grade.
This is why I sought out yoga & meditation in elementary school. After years of begging, I also convinced my parents to let me start therapy. Sadly, my dad pulled me out of it soon after.
I’m also a survivor of sexual assault & domestic abuse. I’ve been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, PTSD, arrhythmia, plantar fasciitis, chronic bronchitis, scoliosis, asthma, IBS, & more. I’ve been legally blind since the 2nd grade. I mention all this because representation is important. I want you to know you’re not alone.
Due to financial privilege & my own efforts, I graduated with my BA in Art from Scripps College. My first job out of college was for an art therapy nonprofit.
Responding to family pressure, later on, I worked in corporate for 11 months. After months of arguing with HR about labor laws affecting the employees under me, I quit. I founded Beyond the Body to create a space for healing, art, & community. Here, I am blessed to offer life/business coaching, yoga, meditation, & art. While offering sliding scale rates & scholarships for equity, I achieved my highest income year in 2020.
In 2021, I would love to help more small business owners and individuals achieve balance & joy. If this resonates, I welcome you to reach out and allow me the honor of guiding you on your journey.
Thank you to everyone for your support. I love myself and I love you.
